
Dr. Carlos Gomez-Meade
DO, FAOCD, FAAD, FACMS
Dr. Carlos Gomez-Meade founded Cornerstone Dermatology and Skin Surgery Center in 2024. Originally from Brownsville, Texas, Dr. Gomez-Meade earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame and a medical degree from the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas. After medical school, he completed a family medicine internship and residency at Broward General Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He then completed another residency, this time in dermatology and also from Broward General Medical Center, and was named Chief Resident in his final year. Afterward, he completed a year of fellowship training in Mohs Surgery at the Skin Institute of South Florida.
Dr. Gomez-Meade is a fellow of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, a fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery and a fellow of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery.

Dr. Aelayna N. Meyer
M.D., FACMS, FAAD
Dr. Aelayna Meyer is a highly skilled dermatologist and skin cancer specialist with over 10 years of experience in performing Mohs surgery, a precise surgical technique used to treat skin cancer. She completed a prestigious Mohs surgery fellowship at the University of Vermont Medical Center in 2014, following her dermatology residency at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in 2013. Dr. Meyer earned her medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 2009 and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Oklahoma State University, which she obtained in 2005. With a passion for patient-centered care and excellence in skin cancer treatment, Dr. Meyer is dedicated to delivering optimal outcomes for her patients through advanced surgical methods and personalized treatment plans.
